Hint:
The Department of Homeland Security has been issuing alerts to the
citizens of the United States since 2002. (This cartoon
is one year old, actually, but still applies to events of this
year). You may have noticed when the alert changes color, as
CNN Student News usually discusses it. Currently, the alert is
at Yellow, but it often has been raised to Orange - meaning that a
terrorist attack may be probable. When this cartoon appeared
in the Christian Science Monitor last year, we were at level
Orange.
Good luck responding to the cartoon!
