Parents:
The Sectionalism Unit Test went very well
for some, and not so well for others. For this reason, I am going
over the first test and allowing students to take a make-up exam on
Thursday and Friday, November 6 & 7, 2003. I will accept the
higher of the two test grades.
In class on Wednesday, nov. 5th, we went
over the test's high miss questions, and I stressed how important
it was to take the time to review past quizzes, homework assignments, and
work we completed together in class.
A practice test is available for download
from the "Projects" section of this web page. Student
binders should contain many homework assignments that are worthy of
review, as well as notes, charts, graphic organizers, and previous
quizzes.
Students:
At this time we have completed the first 10
pages of the Civil War and Reconstruction Journal. If you have been
absent, be sure to get the missing notes from a friend. If you have
missing notes due to an incomplete assignment, you are still accountable
for this work when the Journal is collected for a review and grade.
That means that any assignment that involves the Journal will be
graded twice, although the second time it will be a fraction of the
overall Journal grade.
