Parents:
We are currently finishing up our
study of Reconstruction in America, and will test on all material
contained in the student's yellow Journal. The Journal should be
completed (except pg 23) and will be collected December 9th when the test
is given. The completed Journal will be graded on 100 points, as
will the test.
Students:
As we study Reconstruction in
America, a major lesson that we learn is that Whites. both in the North
and South, continue to be intolerant to the differences between them
selves and other minority groups. For the final weeks of December,
we will conclude this story by examining other minority groups and looking
at how the fight for civil rights in the 1950's and 1960's inspired other
groups to seek equality and tolerance.
