Students:

 

This week our team will meet in new class groupings.  Because of this I will accept your Exploration Unit Essay re-write on Wednesday, 2/2/05.  

 

Our class is having its first Colonization test on Friday, 2/4/05.  This test will focus only on the papers we have completed in our binder.  Topics will include:

  • New France, New Netherlands, Roanoke, and Jamestown

  • Geography

  • Social pyramids

  • Important people

  • Indian relations

The test will be matching and multiple choice only.

 

Parents:

 

AIS meets this week (Thursday, 2/3 activity period).  Students attending must be enrolled in AIS or have indicated their desire to attend so that I have enough materials prepared.  

 

 

Parents:

 

The second Quarter ends on Friday, January 28th.  Report cards will be sent home on Friday, February 4th.  

 

Also, there will be a Midterm Exam in Social Studies prior to the February break.  It will be a 1/2 year cumulative exam.  I will run review classes after school, as well as in class.  I will post more on this web site to assist students in their preparation for this exam.
