Parents:

 

Thank you for your patience with this website update.  Unknown problems have prevented me from accessing my account with the host of this website.  Hopefully I have worked out all of the bugs with the software, and you can expect an update usually within a two week interval.

 

 

Students:

 

Second Quarter is here, and so is your opportunity to earn participation points.  I have given them to students who have come to class prepared with proper supplies; those who volunteer in class; those who demonstrate leadership qualities; and those who come to after school for additional help.   

   

There are lots of ways to earn these points, but sitting back quietly is not one of them.  If I do not see you, then you you will not see these additional points, so get involved!

Projects

Extra Credit

1.  Look up Amnesty International at the library, or on the internet.  Write a paragraph about Amnesty International and its mission.  This should be 5 - 10 sentences long.  (5 pts)

2.  In a second paragraph, explain what is funny about a turkey (in late November) walking into an office of Amnesty International.  Connect the humor of this cartoon to the information you gathered in question #1. (5 pts)

3.  Submit all answers through the Hand-in-Homework function of this web page, and keep a printed copy of your form confirmation.
