Parents:

The first Social Studies Trimester Test has been taken, and many students are now learning that there is more to study for this style test than they thought.  Currently, students are making corrections to their test and raising their grade.

The next test like this will occur before the April break, and again as a final exam to the course.   

Parents:

The Mohawk 7B Team is adopting a soldier.  Andy Semp, son of a FMS teacher aide, will be speaking to our students on Friday, January 6th.  He will ship out to Iraq the following week, and we hope to stay in communication with Andy and his unit for the rest of the school year.  

Parents:

Students are now creating their first DBQ essay based on their Holiday Break experiences.  Most students do not create a DBQ based upon themselves, but the hope is that this is a friendlier way to learn the writing convention before applying it to historical documents.

The DBQ Essay will be due January 9th and 10th, and we will begin our Revolutionary War Unit.
