Students:
Unit
3 has begun! There are resources that you can use by clicking on the
unit sheet. All you need to do is find "Unit 3" on the
UNIT BY UNIT menu.
The
first step in completing a successful unit is to goal set a grade with
your parents. Please take the time to look over the work
necessary to get a "C" grade, and decide when it should be
completed by. The last day of Unit 3 is Friday, October 13th.
We will have a test on Unit 3 that day.
If
you intend to earn a "B" grade, be aware that the resources to
do so are only available in class. You can not do the "B"
level work at home.
If
you intend to earn an "A" grade on the unit, you really will
have to be creative, or adventurous. None of the "A" level
work can be completed in class. I am providing an extension for the
"A" level work to Monday, October 16th because my on-line unit
sheet did not appear over the Oct1st weekend. The unit sheet
contained web links that would assist in completing the A-level
work. (I never penalize a student for errors I make.)
I
recommend that a student bring the parent signature for goal setting to me
by the first class of this week (Oct. 3 or 4), and complete their review
cards by Friday, October 6th.
The
American Journey book work is the key to doing a good job, and
working efficiently. If you read Chapter 1 section 2 and 3 prior to
starting other work, you will come across much that will assist you in
completing other assignments on the Unit Sheet.
